The OECD has released the PISA 2025 Results report, presenting the latest findings from the Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA), one of the world's largest international studies of student achievement. More than 760,000 students across 91 countries and economies participated in PISA 2025, representing approximately 33 million 15-year-olds worldwide. The PISA 2025 assessment focused on science as the major domain, alongside reading, mathematics, and computational problem solving. For the first time, 22 countries and economies assessed students' English-language proficiency, while the innovative domain Learning in the Digital World was also introduced.
PISA 2025 examines student performance across these domains as well as factors associated with learning outcomes, including school environments, student well-being, and educational opportunities. By providing internationally comparable evidence on student achievement and learning experiences, the study offers valuable insights into how education systems support learning and prepare students for future challenges, helping policymakers, researchers, and educators identify trends and inform educational policy and practice worldwide.
