Theme: "Understanding Change, Advancing Education“
Introduction:
The IEA IRC 2027 conference provides a platform for researchers, policymakers, and practitioners to explore how large-scale international assessment data can inform education research and policy. The IRC 2027 focuses on the role of IEA studies in understanding changes in education systems, particularly in the context of rapid technological developments such as the integration of artificial intelligence and the shift toward computer-based assessments.
IEA studies, including PIRLS, TIMSS, ICCS, ICILS, and LaNA, offer valuable insights into student achievement as well as the broader educational context, including the roles of teachers, schools, and curricula. The conference will engage discussion on how these data can support evidence-based decision-making and contribute to improving education systems in a changing global landscape.
The 12th International Research Conference (IRC) 2027 is organized by International Association for the Evaluation of Educational Achievement (IEA) in partnership with the Office of the Education Council (OEC) and the Equitable Education Foundation (EEF) and will be hosted at the Faculty of Education at Chulalongkorn University.
The deadline for the submission is 15 November 2026.
