SEA-PLM 2024: Main Regional Report Released

Report released

SEA-PLM is a regional large-scale assessment and capacity-building program designed to generate comparable data on students’ foundational learning outcomes. The 2024 report provides a comprehensive overview of Grade 5 students’ reading and mathematics proficiencies in the same six countries that participated in the 2019 cycle.

Student achievement data are complemented by questionnaires for students, teachers, and schools. In addition, the 2024 cycle introduced system-level questionnaires to capture education contexts, policies, and programs shaping foundational learning across participating countries.

Beyond reporting current learning levels, the report examines changes in learning trajectories since 2019, offering insights into progress and challenges in primary education across the region.
