The IEA Secretariat is registered as a foundation in the Chamber of Commerce, The Hague, the Netherlands (No. 41158871, 9 December 1994) in the name Stichting I.E.A. Secretariaat Nederland (Foundation IEA Secretariat Netherlands).
The ILSA Gateway provides a single point of entrance to the major international large-scale assessments (ILSAs) in education conducted by different organizations. Comprehensive background information for each ILSA is presented in a standardized format supplemented by direct links to data and documents at the various external study websites. The IEA laid the foundation for the site and defined the type of content to be presented here; the specific study content as such was developed in close collaboration with the directors and initiators of the various studies.
