PIRLS 2021 International Report postponed to 2023

PIRLS 2021 was the only international large-scale assessment administered during the pandemic and has yielded high-quality data that will be instrumental for studying the effects of COVID-19 on education. However, due to the significantly reduced time for data analysis and complexities in reporting within the COVID-19 context, IEA, the TIMSS & PIRLS International Study Center at Boston College, and participating countries have jointly decided to postpone the international release of PIRLS 2021 results from the original release date of 13 December 2022 to the first semester of 2023. The International Study Center at Boston College is going to spend an additional time doing necessary analysis so that they can release an integrated report with both paper and digital international results and data in 2023.
