The 70th Annual Conference of the Comparative and International Education Society (CIES) invites researchers, policymakers, and educators to engage in global dialogue on the critical intersections between education and peace. In light of growing divisions and conflict across nations, this year's theme challenges participants to reconsider how education can foster peace in increasingly polarized contexts.
Primary objectives

- Critically examine education's role in fostering peace: analyze how education can mitigate divisions and promote social cohesion
- Explore effective educational practices: investigate different educational practices, policies, and frameworks that contribute to peacebuilding
