Call for Enrollment for TIMSS 2027

TIMSS 2027 will be a fully digital assessment employing innovative methods to create engaging tests in mathematics and science. It integrates more authentic item types beyond traditional multiple-choice formats, enabling students to demonstrate deeper understanding and critical thinking.

The 2027 cycle expands coverage in mathematics and science by refining how skills are measured at different achievement levels. This ensures a comprehensive view of student performance over time and across populations. Updated assessment frameworks reflect current curricula, standards, and research priorities of participating countries.

TIMSS 2027 aims to capture academic achievement alongside valuable contextual data. The study gathers information from students, teachers, and school principals about the learning environments and curricula in mathematics and science.
