Pisa in Focus: PISA for Development: Out-of-School Assessment Report and Results Released

PISA in Focus is a series of monthly education policy-oriented notes designed to describe a PISA topic in a concise, user-friendly way. December issue focuses on PISA for Development (PISA-D).

PISA for Development (PISA-D) aims to make the assessment more accessible and relevant to low- and middle-income countries. The PISA for Development (PISA-D) report provides an overview of the main results of the out-of-school assessment for seven participating countries: Cambodia, Ecuador, Guatemala, Honduras, Paraguay, Senegal and Zambia. Aiming to make the assessment more accessible and relevant to low- and middle-income countries, PISA-D achieved a perspective on the current skills level and challenges that 14-16 year-olds are currently facing in the participating countries.

This report also compares the overview of the main results of the out-of-school assessment for the five participating countries, with those for the in-school students discussed in PISA in Focus #91.
