Post-doctoral Fellow in Teacher Education for Academy for Leadership in Teacher Education (ALiTE)


Applications are invited for a Post-doctoral Fellow in Teacher Education (2 posts) for Academy for Leadership in Teacher Education (ALiTE) in the Faculty of Education; to commence on September 1, 2020 or as soon as possible thereafter, on a two-year temporary-term basis.

The Faculty of Education is seeking to break new ground with fresh initiatives and innovative curricula across several key areas, including Early Childhood Education, Special Education, and STEM Education, with Teacher Education as the focal point for the Faculty.


- Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree in a relevant area of education (e.g., curriculum and instruction, teacher education, instructional leadership) or a closely related field.

- Research experience is essential as the appointees will be expected to provide assistance to the Dean in developing and delivering professional development programmes for educators, and conducting field-based and collaborative research in teacher-leader learning with local and international partners, as well as writing and contributing to grant proposals and applications. They will work under the supervision of the Dean.

- Applicants with teaching experience at the primary, secondary or tertiary level or teaching adults, as well as knowledge about Hong Kong education and the local context, are highly preferred.
